Fund the equipment with the equipment.
We prepare your case, check it the way a lender would, and introduce you to the few lenders whose criteria fit. Facilities from $5 million, typically $10 million to $250 million.
Who this is for
- Companies buying or upgrading equipment, or refinancing equipment already owned.
- Owners that want to release cash from equipment through a sale-leaseback.
- Operators building a fleet or a multi-purchase program.
Not a fit: facilities under $5 million; consumer vehicle loans; equipment with no secondary market and no creditworthy user.
What we do
- Assess fit. The equipment, the purchase or refinancing, the user and the timing. No documents.
- Engage in writing. NDA and engagement terms, including every fee, before information changes hands.
- Prepare the case. We check the equipment details, valuation support and existing liens as a lender would.
- Introduce. To lenders and lessors whose written criteria match the asset type, age and structure. Shared only in an access-controlled data room under NDA.
- Compare and close. We help compare loan and lease proposals, support diligence and manage the process. The lender or lessor underwrites and funds.
What lenders will ask for
The package, as a checklist (a secure data room is opened after the NDA):
- Equipment list: type, make, model, year, serial numbers, condition and location
- Purchase quotes or invoices, and vendor details
- Appraisals or valuation support, if any
- Maintenance records and expected use
- Financial statements for two to three years, with interim figures
- Existing debt, liens and leases on the equipment
- Insurance
- The intended structure (loan, lease or sale-leaseback) and timing
- For a fleet or program, the purchase schedule
What drives the structure
| Factor | How lenders usually treat it (typical, varies by lender) |
|---|---|
| Advance | A percentage of cost or appraised value, higher for new and liquid equipment, lower for used or specialised |
| Term | Matched to useful life, not beyond it |
| Residual value | Who bears the risk that the equipment is worth less than expected at the end |
| Mobility and title | Titled or registered equipment is easier to secure than fixed or heavily customised equipment |
| Borrower credit | Weaker credit may need a lower advance or other support |
These describe how the product generally works. They are not terms we offer or a prediction of what a lender would offer you. See the glossary.
Where applications get stuck
- Thin resale market. Specialised equipment limits the lenders.
- Used equipment values that differ from the seller's claims.
- Existing liens on equipment being refinanced.
- Location and mobility. Equipment that moves between jurisdictions needs careful perfection of security.
- Vendor paperwork that is incomplete or late.
- Lease or loan classification chosen late. Borrowers should take their own tax and accounting advice early.
Fees
Your engagement agreement sets out what you pay and when, before you sign. In short: an underwriting fee at engagement, and an introduction fee payable only if a financing closes with a lender we introduced. The underwriting fee does not guarantee that any lender will offer terms.
Questions
Should I lease or borrow? It depends on your tax and accounting position, your use of the equipment and who should hold the residual risk. We introduce both types of provider, and you should take advice from your own tax and accounting advisers.
Can I finance used equipment? Often, at a lower advance. Condition and valuation matter.
Can you do a sale-leaseback? Yes, if the equipment and the user fit a lessor's criteria.
Do you lend? No. Lenders underwrite and fund. We introduce.
Who sees my information? Only lenders whose criteria fit, only after an NDA, only in an access-controlled room where every view is logged.
